ALCAT Test
The ALCAT stands for "Antigen Leukocyte Cellular Antibody Test". Compared with other food allergy tests, this test measures the leuckocyte cellular reactivity in whole blood. This test differs from standard allergy tests, such as the skin test, by using state of the art, hematological instrumentation. ALCAT is most accurate for delayed type reactions to foods and chemicals by measuring the presence of allergen specific IgE molecules. The standard allergy tests, or IgG tests, are indicative of exposure, but not necessarily intolerance.
After your blood is collected in the office, we send to the laboratory, where it is tested using state of the art proprietary technology. The ALCAT Test identified reactions to over 300 foods, chemical and other substance associated with inflammation which are linked to chronic health problems.
